Jonathan started the company in 2008, following a successful career in a number of large financial services companies.

Since 2008, Jonathan has grown a wide client base, specialising in pension planning, investments and tax planning.

His ability to make complex financial matters seem more straightforward, means Jonathan’s clients can make informed, tax-efficient decisions with their money at critical times in their lives.

Jonathan lives in Wiltshire with his wife and two sons and enjoys playing the piano, chess, bell-ringing and taking part in triathlons.

Alec joined Miller James Financial Planning in July 2017, after graduating from the University of Gloucestershire where he studied Accounting and Business Management.

Since joining the business, Alec has moved into advice from paraplanning and holds Chartered Financial Planner status. Alec's passion for advice and his extensive technical knowledge allows him to provide comprehensive financial planning to enable our clients to meet their goals.

Alec lives in Wiltshire with his wife and two children and enjoys playing golf.

Sarah joined Miller James Financial Planning in August 2019 after 15 years working in the finance industry. Her role in the production and publication of a personal finance home-study course and financial newsletter has developed her skills and knowledge which she can bring to her position providing support to the rest of the team at Miller James.

Sarah lives in Wiltshire and enjoys travelling and spending time with family.

Josh joined Miller James Financial Planning in February 2024, following graduating from the University of Exeter. His interest in Behavioural Finance led to him pursuing a career in financial planning.

Josh has been providing admin support for the business since joining and has studied towards and achieved his Diploma in Financial Planning to further assist the team with both admin and paraplanning.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis, practicing guitar, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

George joined Miller James Financial Planning in February 2025 after completing his A levels. He previously did work experience with us while studying for his A levels and since then has always wanted to progress in the finance industry.

George has been developing his skills as an administrator since joining the business and is currently working towards achieving his diploma to better support the team.

When out of the office, George enjoys playing cello and studying mixology.
